Teaching
I was fortunate to have teachers who took the time to make complex material approachable. Their efforts made a lasting difference, and I try to pay that forward in my own teaching. I don’t believe in trick questions or exams that are designed to make students fail. I believe in fair but challenging exams, with clear expectations set in advance so students know what it takes to pass. I also care deeply about educational equity. I believe that for many students one of the biggest challenges is not the subject matter itself, but learning the academic habitus: the implicit rules and expectations that shape university life. Below, I’ve compiled a set of resources I find valuable for making this academic culture more transparent and accessible.
